Is the market slowing or is it steady? Well the official take is that construction output grew 2.1% in third quarter, according to Construction enquirer. Following the reportedly weak start to the year, construction output is continuing to recover. In fact, it increased 1.7% in September alone and by 2.1% for the third quarter.
The drive behind the growth is said to be driven by all new work, which increased by 2,8% and repair and maintenance which grew by 1.0%, according to Office of National Statistics UK data. The level of the all work series for September 2018 reached £13,995 million which is a record high.
